The competition for this month is

'Strength'

Next months competition theme is 'Roundabout'.

We judged the photographs last months competition in the 'new' section first place was 'Snowy mountain tree' by Peter Tomlin and second was 'Moon and tree' by Ulrich. In the archived section we had several entries this month and the winner was Chris with 'Lone tree' and second equal were Karl with 'Altea beach' and Peter Atkinson with 'Autumn in New York'. This months photos are all in the gallery.

We then had a rather rushed second half reviewing the photos from Alton Camera Club for the competion. There was much discussion and a fair bit of diagreement over some of the photos. It will be interesting to see their comments on our photos next month. The results and photos will be on the competition website after we have discussed them at next months meeting.

As a result of a double booking we have had to move the time of some of the early meetings in 2010. The time for these meetings is now 8pm to 10pm. For full details of the meeting affected see the syllabus page.

Don't forget that you can start to produce a portfolio of six images on a theme of your choice and these can then be shown after the competition on a club night.
