Sunset or Sunrise

There was a large entry for this months competition there were many outstanding photographs. Those members who have sent me their photographs are displayed in this months gallery. The winner was Ulrich with his Tomatoes and joint second were Nichole and Colin. We then had a talk by Jack Troughton from the Round Town News about his work on various newspapers in the UK and ultimately here in Spain. He went to to explain that as a small concern in Spain instead of having a photographer to do his bidding he was given a third hand Canon 300D and he has to now take his own photos.

We discussed the competition against Alton Camera Club. Can you please submit up to six of your best photos to the webmaster before 30th January. He will create a gallery of the images and the 20 best will be selected by the committee during early February. These will be sent on cd to Alton Camera Club and their photos will be sent to us. During the March meeting we will judge their photos and send our comments to them and they will do the same. The theme for our photographs is Spain, all of the photographs MUST have been taken at any time of anywhere in Spain.

You will by now have received an email from Tess about the AGM. Can we please have any bids for any of the committee roles by the end of this month. You don't have to be nominated just be willing to perform the role. The AGM will be held at the end of the January meeting.

It is proposed that the membership fee be reduced to 20€ next year for individual members and to 10€ for junior members.

We have a few mounts left in stock. They are available from Tess for 2€ each.

The meeting dates are still subject to change. Please see the Syllabus page for the revised dates that we have. All other groups that meet at the centre are in the same position.

We will hold a Photoshop evening this month on Tuesday 25th November at the Social Centre. If you have anything in particular that you want covered please let Colin know.

Don't forget that you can start to produce a portfolio of six images on a theme of your choice and these can then be shown after the competition on a club night.
